Role Summary
Responsible for validating and ensuring the quality, reliability, performance, and compatibility of multimedia features across hardware and software platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, execute, and maintain multimedia test plans and test cases
- Verify multimedia components such as video, audio, display, codec, streaming, and imaging features across different hardware and software configurations
- Perform functional, integration, performance, and regression testing
- Identify, debug, and track defects; work closely with development teams for issue resolution
- Develop and enhance test automation to improve test coverage and efficiency
- Analyze system performance and identify multimedia bottlenecks
- Create and maintain test documentation, test reports, and verification artifacts
- Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, and product managers to ensure seamless integration of multimedia features
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and stay updated with multimedia technologies and standards
Required Skills
- Understanding of multimedia frameworks and technologies such as Video/Audio/Image Codecs, GStreamer, DisplayPort (DP), GPU, Linux, and embedded systems
- Knowledge of test automation using Python/Shell scripting
- Experience with debugging tools, analyzers, and validation equipment
- Familiarity with version control, CI/CD, and defect-tracking tools such as Git, Jenkins, and Jira
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, ECE
- Experience with embedded Linux platforms and multimedia validation with 2–3 years of experience
- Knowledge of board bring-up, device trees, and system-level integration testing
