As an Embedded System Engineer at Silicon Patterns, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and validating embedded solutions for next-generation semiconductor and electronic products. You will work closely with cross-functional engineering teams to develop robust firmware, board support packages, device drivers, and system-level software while ensuring seamless hardware and software integration.

Job Requirements

5+ years of experience and possesses in-depth system level understanding of embedded systems
In-depth understanding of x86 CPU architecture, compiler tools, operating systems, debuggers, and system requirements
Experience with Linux, UEFI, BIOS and bootloaders
Knowledge of industry standard IO interfaces and storage – DDR4/5, PCIe Gen3/4/5, 1/2.5/10G Ethernet
Good knowledge of performance benchmarks and related test or debug
Desire to be hands-on with design tools, devices, boards, and software

Responsibilities

Help define and create customer demos or example designs
Help support customers on x86 based processing systems
Run industry standard benchmarks and present results to the field and customers
Develop and run tests to measure system level bandwidth and latency, using performance tools, for different applications
Develop and test systems with Linux
Resolve customer issues on protocols like PCIe, USB, SATA, Ethernet etc.
Strong programming skills and understanding of Python, Perl, C/C++, and assembly language
Document best design practices for internal stakeholders and public users
Develop training and marketing material for Field Engineers
Drive the needs back through engineering to deliver solutions that customers can use
